At Pitt we strive for excellence in the pool, and we certainly don’t skimp on the minutest of details. Our starts and turns are large components of what makes Pitt swimming an elite performing team. We are excited to share the methodology and programming of our world class starts and turns with you!
Our Pitt Starts and Turns clinic will acutely focus on step-by-step progressions that Pitt swimmers routinely rehearse to perfect these skills, and effectively use them to beat our competitors.
Campers will be placed into groups according to their skill level and age, which allows for the appropriate level of instruction and progression for each camper. To create the best instructive environment possible, we aim to create a camper to coach ratio of 8:1 to promote quality instruction and direct feedback for each camper.

CAMP LOCATION / FACILITIES
The University of Pittsburgh has one of the nation’s largest collegiate indoor aquatic facilities, Joseph Clifton Trees Pool. It boasts two pools: the first is a 50-meter, 25-yard pool with 21 lanes and a full set of diving towers and one and three-meter boards. The second pool is a 6-lane, 25-yard pool that is ideal for small group instruction.

The week before camp, all campers will receive a detailed email with information about camp.
CANCELLATION POLICY / REFUNDS
Please email pittsportscamp@athletics.pitt.edu for cancellation purposes. Full refunds will be provided up to 14 days before the start of camp. A 50% refund will be provided within 14 days of the start of camp.
